A high-ranking military commander says Iran is ready to legally provide Iraq with military equipment to help Baghdad in its fight against terrorism. “We are ready, if requested by the Iraqi government, to send weapons and equipment to Iraq through legal channels,” Major General Hassan Firouzabadi told reporters on Saturday, Press TV reported. He added that Tehran has provided Baghdad with military advice, noting that Iraq’s security is intertwined with that of Iran.
