AEOI Ready for All US Scenarios

In reaction to the result of US presidential election, the spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Behrouz Kamalvandi, said Tehran is ready for any development, but will press on with implementing last year's nuclear deal with major powers. "Iran is braced for any development," Kamalvandi told Tasnim News Agency on Wednesday, shortly after Republican candidate Donald Trump emerged victorious in the US presidential election. The spokesman said Iran will continue to implement the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the formal title of the deal). "We are ready for all conditions and scenarios, and we are able to implement any decision by top officials [with regard to the country's nuclear program]," he said. Trump, who is opposed to the deal and wants to renegotiate it, stunned the world by defeating Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, ending eight years of Democratic rule.
