Call for Bolstering Manila Ties

Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour underlined that Iran is ready to broaden mutual cooperation with the Philippines. "The independent views expressed by the Philippine president are a main contributor to growing Tehran-Manila relations," Rahimpour said at the end of his two-day visit to Manila, Fars News Agency reported.  He noted that both Iran and the Philippines are determined to expand bilateral relations. In mid-July, Filipino Ambassador in Tehran Edwardo Martin Moniz called for boosting trade exchanges between the two sides. "Broadening trade relations will help the two countries develop their friendship in other areas as well," he said.
