A senior general of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps predicted that the end of the Syrian war will come in sight in the coming months.

The remark by Deputy Commander of the IRGC Qods Force Lieutenant General Esmaeil Qa’ani came, as the Syrian Army is engaged in battles, including in the northern city of Aleppo, against terrorists and has vowed to rid the country of terrorists soon.

“This year is the year for determining the fate of the Syrian war,” Qa’ani was quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.

The general noted that the terrorist groups have recently sent at least 10,000 militants to Aleppo Province to fight government forces.

“The terrorists have conducted over 30 suicide attacks on the Syrian Army and popular forces in the last few days,” he said.

Qa’ani noted that when the Americans feel they cannot achieve their goals through military means, they resort to negotiations, and whenever they realize that they can achieve their goals militarily, they reject negotiations.
