The spokesman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said two senior members of the commission have traveled to France on an official visit to hold talks boosting parliamentary ties between Tehran and Paris. Speaking to Tasnim News Agency on Saturday, Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said the chairman of the commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, and another member of the parliamentary panel, Hojjatoleslam Mojtaba Zonnour, are in France at the invitation of the parliament of the West European country. He said the Iranian delegation's visit has been made with the aim of holding meetings with senior French officials and exploring avenues for promoting parliamentary relations between the two countries. Back in September, President of France's National Assembly Claude Bartolone paid a two-day visit to Iran and met top officials, including President Hassan Rouhani, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani.
