At least three Iranian technicians were killed in a suicide attack by the self-styled Islamic State terrorist group near Iraq's Kirkuk. Iraqi sources said the attack took place in the early hours of Friday when two armed men blew themselves up after they were surrounded by Iraqi security forces. Another IS terrorist was killed by the forces. Iran's Ambassador in Baghdad Hassan Danaeifar said on Friday four other Iranians were also injured in the attack on a power plant under construction by Iranian contractors near Dibris town, located about 40 kilometers northwest of Kirkuk. "Legal and security measures are underway to follow up on the conditions of those killed and wounded, and transfer them to the country," ISNA quoted him as saying. A dozen Iraqi workers and security forces were among those killed in the bombing. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi strongly condemned the attack on Friday, saying these attacks are "the last breath of terrorists in Iraq".
