Parliament will hold a confirmation vote on President Hassan Rouhani’s new pick for minister of science, research and technology on Wednesday, IRNA reported on Friday. Just a day after parliament overwhelmingly voted against the president's fourth nominee for the post, Rouhani named Mohammad Farhadi as his new choice last Wednesday.
Farhadi is scheduled to attend a meeting of the Majlis Education and Research Committee on Sunday to present his plans.
