The top Tunisian diplomat said Iran is an important country and the two nations share a long history of relations. Speaking at a press conference in Kuwait on Monday, Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemaies Jhinaoui emphasized the importance of Iran in the region and said his country treats Iran like every other major country, ISNA reported. "Tunisia does not meddle in the internal affairs of Iran, in the same manner that it does not allow any other country to interfere in its own affairs," Jhinaoui said. The two countries collaborate in various areas. Last year, a number of agreements were signed between Iran and Tunisia in different areas, including culture, arts, sports and youth affairs, as a sign of good capacities for cooperation between the two states.
