A high-ranking Czech parliamentary delegation, led by deputy speaker of Czech Parliament, plans to pay an official visit to Iran next weekend to hold talks with Iranian officials on a range of issues, including ways of boosting mutual relations. The Czech lawmakers are slated to make the trip to Tehran on October 16 at the invitation of Masoud Pezeshkian, an Iranian deputy parliament speaker, Tasnim News Agency reported.  During their four-day visit, the Czech parliamentarians are to meet a number of senior Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani. Back in 2015, the head of Iran-Czech Parliamentary Friendship Group, Vahid Ahmadi, and a Czech envoy to Tehran, Petr Stepanek, discussed ways of boosting bilateral parliamentary ties. During the meeting in Tehran in January 2015, Ahmadi highlighted the two sides' potential and capabilities that paved the way for expansion of relations between Iran and the Czech Republic in all fields.
