Leader Receives Police Officials

Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Tuesday received police commanders and officials on the occasion of National Police Day. In the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei said police play a key role in protecting security, underlining the need to take steps to boost police personnel's "resolve, faith, motivation and morale", IRNA reported. "The capabilities and preparedness of the police need to be improved day by day," he said. The Leader said promotion of security is a key contributor to the country's progress. "The absence of security destroys the chances of undertaking various economic, cultural and political activities, even though the people in the society are motivated and capable," he said. Ayatollah Khamenei said it is necessary that the police employ the latest technological advances to help promote national security and enhance its services to the public.
