Interior Minister in Baku

Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli arrived in Baku on Monday on a two-day official visit to neighboring Azerbaijan to hold talks with senior officials of the country on issues of mutual interests. Deputy Interior Minister Babak Dinparast said on Sunday Fazli is slated to meet high-ranking Azeri officials to discuss ways of boosting bilateral relations, Tasnim News Agency reported. Dinparast hoped that the visit would be a milestone in Tehran-Baku cooperation in all areas. In a high-profile ceremony in Baku in August, senior officials from Iran and Azerbaijan signed six memorandums of understanding and agreements to promote mutual cooperation in various fields. The ceremony was attended by President Hassan Rouhani and his Azeri counterpart, Ilham Aliyev. Cabinet ministers and senior officials from the two sides signed the documents.
