A senior Pakistani Navy commander underlined that his country and Iran are determined to broaden naval cooperation. "The Pakistani Navy is waiting for the arrival of Iran's naval ships for a goodwill visit to Karachi Port in the coming days," Pakistani Navy Commander Vice Admiral Sohail Masood told reporters on Friday, Fars News Agency reported.  "We have a system that we always have an exercise when the Iranian Navy comes to Pakistan or we go to Iran," he explained. In mid-April, Iranian and Pakistani navies held joint military drills in the Persian Gulf waters. Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said at the time that Iranian armed forces would show friendship to friendly countries in the region and that "our interaction with friendly countries will be doubled."
