Deputy Foreign Minister Hassan Qashqavi underlined the need to broaden cooperation with Romania, especially in consular affairs.
In a meeting with Romanian Foreign Ministry’s director general in Tehran on Monday, Qashqavi underlined the need to broaden mutual cooperation, especially in consular affairs.
During the meeting, the two diplomats explored avenues of bolstering consular and judicial relations as well as and reinvigorating the campaign against terrorism, organized crime and human trafficking, Fars News Agency reported. “Preparing facilities to issue visas for citizens of both countries, especially businessmen, investors, tourists and students, is an appropriate ground for developing relations,” Qashqavi said.
In early July, Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Romanian Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu in a meeting in Bucharest underlined the need for expansion of mutual cooperation in different areas, particularly in economic and trade fields. “We are willing to deepen banking transactions between the two countries in line with the implementation of joint projects,” Takht-Ravanchi said.
