The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Naval Force has been equipped with two new domestically-manufactured vessels, one of which could be sent to long-distance missions without a need to refueling. "Martyr Nazeri vessel, which has been designed and built at Bushehr's Martyr Mahallati Institute, can be dispatched to the Red Sea and the Mediterranean without refueling," Commander of the IRGC Naval Force's First Zone Rear Admiral Morteza Zarei said on Monday, Fars News Agency reported. He said the indigenous Nazeri vessel is capable of carrying 100 forces and helicopters. Saar was the other vessel that recently joined the IRGC Naval Force at Bandar Abbas Port in Persian Gulf waters. Elaborating on Saar's capabilities, Zarei said, "The vessel can be used for relief and rescue operations in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman".
