Deputy Parliament Speaker Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard said on Monday the establishment of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in 2006 was a step toward the formation of an Asian parliament, expressing hope that the Asian countries that have close relations would introduce an initiative to create an Asian parliament, ICANA reported. He made the remarks during a ceremony held in Tehran to commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of the APA.
