Non-Stop Rise in Deterrence Power

Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Lieutenant General Hossein Salami highlighted Iran’s military might in the face of foreign threats, stressing that the deterrence power of IRGC is rising “day by day”.

“IRGC is boosting its defense power in various areas,” Salami said in a ceremony held in the southern port city of Bushehr on Tuesday to induct a new high-speed military vessel with an immense operational range and the capability of carrying helicopters, Tasnim News Agency reported. “There has been no halt to the growth of the defense and deterrent power [of IRGC] in different sectors of missiles, drones and vessels,” he said.

The commander also praised the domestically-made high-speed military vessel, saying that it is in service now and has increased the operational range of IRGC forces at seas to 10,000 kilometers.

Salami assured that new state-of-the-art vessels will join the IRGC Naval Force’s fleet in future.
