Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari is visiting South Africa to participate in a military equipment exhibition in the country.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Sayyari left Tehran for Johannesburg on Monday evening at the invitation of his South African counterpart, Tasnim News Agency reported.
Africa Aerospace and Defense is one of the world’s premier aerospace and defense exhibitions that holds a prominent position within the aviation and defense calendar.
This exhibition takes place biannually in September. The first three days of the exhibition are traditionally trade days, followed by two air-show days that are open to the public.
The Eighth AAD will take place at AFB Waterkloof, Centurion in the city of Tshwane from September 14 to 18 and will bring together various industries from across the world to showcase the latest technological innovations within the sector, according to the official website of the exhibition.
