French Speaker Expected

President of the French National Assembly Claude Bartolone is to arrive in Tehran on a four-day official visit, according to the special adviser to the parliament speaker on international relations. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and his French counterpart are scheduled to meet today to discuss bilateral parliamentary relations and the latest international and regional developments, Fars News Agency reported. Amir-Abdollahian said the two countries pay special attention to parliamentary relations, which comprise a major part of their cooperation.  The adviser said members of Iran-France Parliamentary Friendship Group and senior lawmakers on the French Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee will accompany Bartolone during his trip. Amir-Abdollahian noted that the French delegation is also scheduled to meet President Hassan Rouhani and other top-level Iranian officials.
