Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei outlined the official policies on family life devised in consultation with the Expediency Council and in line with the Iranian Constitution.
The Leader highlighted that family-related considerations should be taken into account in the decisions of the three branches of government, IRNA reported on Saturday. Based on these policies, the establishment should promote a strong family bond and culture based on Islamic traditions and teachings.
Considerations to uphold family values should be a core element of all rules, regulations and policies governing the educational, cultural, social and economic sectors. A comprehensive national movement needs to be organized for promoting factors that contribute to a successful marriage and family.
Policies and rules are to be passed to promote marriage among the youth. Educational and media capacities should be exploited to help strengthen the family unit. Measures should be taken to put up an effective defense against the psychological warfare being waged by hostile powers targeting the family unit in the Islamic Republic.
Any publication that threatens to undermine family values should be banned.
