Majlis Panel Preparing JCPOA Report

Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the panel will finalize a six-month report on the process of implementing the nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, aka as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Tasnim News Agency on Saturday, Alaeddin Boroujerdi pointed to efforts made to prepare the report over the past six months, since the deal came into force, and said members of the commission are drafting the report.
As part of the efforts, the commission members recently visited the country’s nuclear sites to learn about implementation of commitments under the deal, he noted.
According to a law, the government is obliged to safeguard the nation’s achievements and nuclear rights. The Majlis   commission has been tasked with monitoring “the proper implementation” of the JCPOA, and is required to submit a report to the Majlis Presiding Board every six months.
