A pro-reform political activist says the reformists’ strategy is to enter into an alliance with centrists and moderate principlists, although it may be an “unwritten alliance”. In an interview with the Fars news agency published on Sunday, Mohammad Reza Tabesh also expressed hope that the ground would be prepared for the “meaningful presence” of pro-reform groups in the 2016 parliamentary election. He highlighted the role of the reformists in the Islamic Revolution and said the country cannot be ruled by a single political group. Elsewhere, he said members of the Executives of Construction Party and various pro-reform groups attend the meetings of the consultative council of reformists.
