Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi underlined that despite all attempts by various terrorist groups, Iran is the most secure country in the region due to its powerful defensive and military forces. "Although we are witnessing insecurity in the world and every day we see bomb blasts, suicide and gun attacks or massacres, thank God, Iran enjoys full security," Alavi was quoted as saying on Sunday by Fars News Agency. Alavi stressed that the enemy is doing its best to make Iran insecure and said hostile countries are training terrorists to produce explosives using chemical substances to detonate them in different places across Iran. Yet, the intelligence minister said all terrorist attempts have been foiled so far. Over the past few months, Iranian security and intelligence forces have thwarted a series of foreign-backed plots across the country to carry out explosions and terror attacks. They have also engaged militants along western and southeastern borders and killed and arrested dozens of them.
