Majlis JCPOA Report Out in a Month

A senior lawmaker said the report of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action will be completed and presented to Majlis Presiding Board "within a month". Alaeddin Boroujerdi, chairman of the parliamentary panel, also told ICANA on Friday the commission has asked "10 government institutions linked to JCPOA" to provide the panel with their reports on the action plan over the past six months. "Since half of these institutions has not yet shared their opinion, our report is not ready," he said. Boroujerdi said a delegation from the panel is due to visit Natanz and Fordo nuclear sites on Monday and its findings will be included in the report. JCPOA is the formal name of the July 2015 nuclear deal signed by Iran and six world powers. According to law, the Majlis commission is tasked with monitoring the proper implementation of JCPOA and must submit a report to Majlis Presiding Board every six months.
