The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has criticized the UN nuclear agency for releasing its reports on Iran hastily, saying the move will damage the image of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). “The agency’s reports should remain confidential before they are finalized... The premature release of them in the media will damage its credibility,” Behrouz Kamalvandi told IRNA on Friday in reference to reports by western media that the IAEA has corrected its previous estimate of the size of Iran’s low-enriched uranium stockpile. “The release of these reports in some websites, which have connections with western countries, is politically motivated and is meant to affect the process of talks (between Iran and the major powers on Tehran’s nuclear program,” he said.
