The commander of the navy announced that Iran will hold a major naval drill in the northern Indian Ocean in the coming weeks, ISNA reported on Saturday. Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari also said the Leader has ordered naval forces to have presence in the open seas, so the navy's exercises will not be held only in territorial waters. He added that new vessels and weapons will be used in the maneuvers.
