Palestinian President’s Meeting With Terrorists “Shameful”

A senior advisor denounced as “shameful” the recent meeting between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Maryam Rajavi, the ringleader of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization. Abbas met Rajavi in Paris late Saturday. According to reports, Rajavi briefed Abbas on MKO’s recent annual meeting in the French capital. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament speaker’s advisor for international affairs, added that Abbas’ action to support terrorism instead of fighting it is a source of regret for the Palestinians. “The problem with Mahmoud Abbas is that he is not following up the rights of Palestinians,” Amir-Abdollahian was quoted as saying by IRNA. Amir-Abdollahian lamented that Abbas expresses support for Saudi attacks on the oppressed Yemeni people, while he meets the ringleader of the MKO that shows his support for terrorism. “Backing terrorism instead of combating it will not help weaken the Israeli regime and liberate the holy al-Quds, but it is disappointing for the Palestinian people,” he said.
