A lawmaker said a delegation of members from the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission is to visit Lebanon and Syria. Seyyed Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini, spokesman for the delegation, told ICANA on Sunday chairman of the commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, will head the delegation during the four-day visit. Naqavi-Hosseini said the delegation will be in Lebanon on Monday and Tuesday, where it will meet Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam and Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil. Later, the lawmakers will meet Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Parliament Speaker Hadiyeh al-Abbas, Prime Minister Imad Khamis and Foreign Minister Walid Muallem on Wednesday and Thursday. "During the visit, the latest regional developments, particularly in Syria, and the fight against terrorism will be discussed," he said.
