A number of commandos of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps are in Russia to participate in the upcoming International Army Games 2016. Seven military teams from the Armed Forces have been dispatched to Russia to take part in the annual event scheduled for August 1-14, Tasnim News Agency reported. The teams will compete in various categories, including Sniper Frontier, Tank Biathlon, Suvorov Attack, Elbrus Ring, Airborne Platoon, Seaborne Assault and Depth. Military representatives from 17 countries, including Iran, Russia, China, Egypt, Venezuela, Belarus and Kazakhstan, will participate in the contest in southwestern Russia. Competitions will be held among military specialists and commandoes in 23 contests, according to the official website of the games.
