Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani censured the US for not sticking to its undertakings based on last year’s nuclear agreement with Tehran and said Washington’s approach could lead to the termination of the deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
“Based on a report by the Foreign Ministry, Iran has acted upon all its undertakings stated in the nuclear agreement, including reduction in the number of centrifuges, volume of heavy water supplies and enriched materials, but the other side, especially the US, has been disloyal,” Larijani said on Monday, Fars News Agency reported.
“If sanctions are not [fully] removed and banking interactions are not resumed, [then] there would be no reason for this agreement to remain in place and we, in the parliament, will certainly pursue the issue,” he said.
