A senior principlist politician says the role the reformists played in the 2009 presidential election indicated that the competition in the political arena is no longer only between rival principlist groups, adding that the reformists are "regrouping" their forces. It is highly likely that the pro-reform groups will form an alliance to create an "acceptable" future for them, Gholamreza Mesbahi Moqaddam, spokesperson for the Combatant Clergy Association, said in an interview with ICANA published on Wednesday.
