President Hassan Rouhani appointed Hosseinali Amiri as vice president for parliamentary affairs and Majid Ansari as vice president for legal affairs, in separate decrees on Wednesday. Amiri, who is also a deputy interior minister and the spokesperson for the ministry, holds a PhD in law and previously served as a jurist in the Guardians Council, ICANA reported. Majid Ansari, who sits on the Expediency Council and is a senior member of the pro-reform Association of Combatant Clerics, was the previous vice president for parliamentary affairs. He replaces Elham Aminzadeh.
