Syria closely coordinates its military operations against the Islamic State and al-Nusra Front terror groups with Russia and Iran, President Bashar al-Assad told the Australian broadcaster SBS in a recent interview. He said the recent meeting of the three countries' defense ministers was one evidence of the interaction.
