President Hassan Rouhani sent a message to his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Sunday congratulating her and the Croatian people on the occasion of the Southeast European country's Statehood Day. Statehood Day is a holiday that occurs every year on June 25 in Croatia to celebrate the country's 1991 declaration of independence from the former Yugoslavia. Rouhani expressed hope that in view of the recent Tehran visit by the Croatian president, bilateral ties would be expanded in the political, economic and cultural areas, IRNA reported.
