An informed source at the foreign ministry on Sunday denied the reports that Iran has sent a special envoy to Libya, saying the ambassador to Libya has held consultations with officials of the crisis-hit North African country, IRNA reported. The source also said the Islamic Republic’s policy is non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, adding Iran supports national dialogue in Libya, which is the only way out of the current crisis, and efforts meant to establish a government based on a permanent constitution. Libya is now in a state of chaos. The country’s internationally recognized government has been driven out of the capital by an alliance led by rebel forces, which has installed a rival government and parliament.
