Hacker of Gov't Sites Detained

An IRGC center countering organized cybercrime announced on Saturday it has detained a hacker inside the country who was behind recent cyberattacks on the websites of several state organizations, Tasnim News Agency reported.  The center said in a statement that the offender had hacked into the websites of several organizations, including the National Organization for Documents and Real Estate Registration, the Post Company and some universities. It said the hacker had used loopholes in the websites to launch the attacks, warning of weaknesses and security lapses in the databases of many government institutions.
