Ottawa Policy Unchanged

A lawmaker said despite statements by Canadian officials that Ottawa intends to mend relations with Tehran, the Iran policy of the Liberal government has not changed significantly from the hostility of its Conservative predecessor. In a Saturday interview with ICANA, Abolfazl Aboutorabi cited Canada's refusal to extradite former top bank manager Mahmoud Khavari, who is involved in a major fraud and embezzlement case, as an example of Ottawa's same old policy. "Canada has always taken such ill-behaved actions."
