Bahrain Arrests Eight Convicts

Bahrain News Agency also claimed on Saturday the country’s coast guard has arrested eight convicts for allegedly trying to escape to Iran by boat. The report added that two other men—described as “fugitives”—had organized the escape from Iran. The eight men had already been convicted in absentia and sentenced to between 10 and 15 years in prison, Reuters cited BNA as saying.
