Majlis to Examine Credentials of MPs

The parliament is to convene today and examine the credentials of newly-elected lawmakers, a member of the interim Majlis Presiding Board said on Monday. Akbar Ranjbarzadeh said the election of the permanent board, which can be held after the credentials of two-thirds of lawmakers are approved, is expected on Wednesday, IRNA reported. The lawmaker noted that members of the new parliament will host a number of ministers and government officials and meet the Leader of the Islamic Revolution next Iranian week, starting Saturday.
