Based on a repatriation treaty, 47 Iranian prisoners in the Persian Gulf state of Kuwait returned home to serve the rest of their sentences in Iran. The extradition took place on the basis of a judicial agreement between Tehran and Kuwait City, and diplomatic talks over the past two years, the Foreign Ministry's announcement was reported by Tasnim News Agency.
