Promoting Insight Key to Blocking Infiltration

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei underscored the need for promoting insight and awareness within various institutions and segments of the society about the ploys of hostile governments to infiltrate the establishment.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the primary responsibility of academic and religious centers, faithful and revolutionary people, particularly the youth, and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps against attempts by hegemonic powers to make inroads into the system is "taking wise … measures to shed light on the truth of the revolutionary slogans".

He was addressing the graduation ceremony of cadets at the Imam Hossein (PBUH) military academy in Tehran on Monday.

The day coincided with the anniversary of the liberation of the southern port city of Khorramshahr from Iraqi forces under the former dictator Saddam Hussein early in the 1980-88 Iraq-imposed war.

The landmark victory came during an operation code-named Beit-ul-Moqaddas launched a month earlier in 1982.

IRNA quoted the Leader as saying, "The future belongs to you, the youth. You should help preserve the memory of this historic [victory].

"Ahead lie many situations like that of Khorramshahr. They may not come up in military battlefields, but in battles more difficult than a military war. They may not produce the same amount of destruction as that of military wars … but they are more difficult to fight."

Ayatollah Khamenei called on the youth to assume their duty to promote values of the Islamic Revolution.

"Today, promoting insight is a necessity. You should strive to lead minds toward truth and consider that elucidation is of fundamental importance," he said.
