US Not Seeking to Curb Iran's Oil Export

The US is no longer seeking to reduce Iran's export of oil after reaching a nuclear agreement with Tehran, US President Barack Obama said in a memorandum on Thursday. "Consistent with US commitments specified in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the official name of the deal), the US is no longer pursuing efforts to reduce Iran's sales of crude oil," Obama was quoted as saying by Sputnik. In July 2015, Iran and major powers signed the JCPOA to place time-bound constraints on Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.
