A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee told IRNA on Friday Republicans’ victory in the midterm elections and their takeover of the US senate will make it difficult for US President Barack Obama to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran.
Nozar Shafiei commented Republicans’ victory may negatively affect nuclear talks between Iran and the major powers in the short term, but “it will not be the case in the long term.”
