Moderates to Form Parliamentary Faction

Qodratali Heshmatian, the head of the Independents and Moderates Front, said on Friday the front plans to form a 140-strong faction in the next parliament, which will open on May 28. The politician also said the front has not made its final decision whether to endorse the incumbent Ali Larijani, leading pro-reform figure Mohammad Reza Aref or vocal lawmaker Ali Motahhari for the post of Majlis speaker, IRNA reported.
