Navy Launches Floating Dock

A 2,000-ton domestically manufactured floating dock joined the Iranian Navy's fleet off the coast of the northern port city of Bandar Anzali in Gilan Province on Thursday. The huge structure has been designed and constructed by domestic experts at the Marine Industries Organization of the Defense Ministry, Tasnim News Agency reported. Floating docks are used in the construction, maintenance and repair of ships, boats and other watercraft. They can also help launch different types of vessels.
