IRGC Starts Massive Drill

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Forces started a massive military drill in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan on Tuesday morning, with local forces taking part in the exercises. Codenamed Payambar-e Azam (The Great Prophet), the war game will last for three days in the provincial regions of Saravan, Mirjaveh and Zahedan, Tasnim News Agency reported. According to IRGC Ground Forces Commander Lieutenant General Mohammad Pakpour, the objective of the drill is to maintain preparedness for battle, display the power of forces and ensure security in the region by relying on local capabilities.
