Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi is in the Turkish city of Istanbul to take part in an expert-level meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Heading a high-ranking delegation, Araqchi arrived in Istanbul on Sunday to hold talks with the representatives of other member states of OIC, Tasnim News Agency reported. The OIC meetings at various levels started in Istanbul on Sunday and will run until Friday. The summit of heads of state of OIC members will take place on Thursday and Friday, while meetings on Sunday and Monday are attended by senior experts of member countries. The ministerial meeting will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday. Earlier in March, representatives of OIC countries held an extraordinary meeting to discuss the issue of Palestine. Ministers and heads of diplomatic missions from 57 Muslim countries, including Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, took part in the OIC ministerial meeting in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
