Turkey FM, Zarif Confer

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called for expansion of ties with Iran. He made the remarks in a meeting with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of the Fourth Foreign Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul Process on Afghanistan Friday in Beijing with the participation of 46 countries, IRNA reported. The two sides reviewed the latest regional developments and other issues of mutual interest. Referring to the friendly relations between the two neighbors, Cavusoglu said they should “enhance cooperation in light of the great existing potentials.” The two ministers called for expanding contacts to, among other things, exchange views on ways to curb terror in the region.
