Over 200 parliamentarians in a statement on Monday denounced a recent move by the (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council to label Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah a terrorist group. The lawmakers hailed Hezbollah as a symbol of resistance to the “occupying and criminal Zionist regime”, Tasnim News Agency reported. “Without Hezbollah, the Zionist regime would have kept southern Lebanon under its occupation, and the regime’s Takfiri allies would have violated Lebanon’s territorial integrity, as they did in Syria.”
