Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major-General Hassan Firouzabadi said collaboration and interaction between defense and intelligence bodies have always safeguarded the country against threats and insecurity. “The intelligence ministry’s cooperation with the military and the law enforcement forces ensures security for people, paves the way for economic, political and cultural activities, and makes it insecure for the enemy (to operate) inside the country and around it,” the Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying on Thursday.
