Defense Coop. With Russia "Strategic"

Defense cooperation with Russia has reached the "strategic" level. This was stated by a member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission to ICANA on Saturday. Pointing to the nuclear deal between Iran and major powers, which went into force on Jan. 16, Mansour Haqiqatpour said, "Before the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [the official title of the deal], Iran and Russia had defense and military collaboration, and after the JCPOA, cooperation has reached a strategic level."
